Dear colleagues!

Central Asian Foundation for Management Development informs that on May 25, 2006 there will be the roundtable "Regional International Accreditation: Experience of Central Asian higher educational institutions" and the Meeting of CAMAN members at the address: Almaty, 227 Rozybakiev, r. 235.

The purpose of the interactive roundtable is to discuss the results of CAMEQ accreditation as the effective instrument of quality assurance of business education in the region and outlining the strategy of further introduction of CAMEQ in Central Asian higher educational institutions.

CAMAN took part in the international conference of EFMD (European Fund for Management Development) and AACSB (Association on development of university business schools) which took place on April 22-25, 2006 in Paris, France. Since 1996 CAMAN is an associate member of EFMD.

Issues of public professional accreditation of business education, social responsibility of business entities, problems of ranking methods of international schools of business and exchange of interesting experience of teaching business disciplines by university professors from different countries became a subject of active discussion among the participants of the conference. Representatives of famous business companies exchanged experience on international management.

The General Director of CAMAN met leaders of EFMD, AACSB, CEEMAN, RABE and also with international experts on the field of business education, international accreditation and with representatives of business companies. The main outcome of the participation in the international conference is that we managed to discuss cooperation projects of CAMAN with above-mentioned associations in the sphere of accreditation, professional development and training for the nearest future. At the same time, Zh. Mukhamedyarova who is a Fulbright Scholar expresses her sincere gratitude to the US Embassy in Kazakhstan, namely Dr. Faigenbaum, cultural attach? and also A. Mukanova, program coordinator for mutual understanding, support and professional assistance in getting the grant for the international conference.
